As part of the WakuPro Foundation’s International Friendship Program, thepurpose of the PDWC 2023 Online Debate Conference is to support youngpeople in becoming successful on a global stage, through providingopportunities for the serious exchange of opinions in a spirit of friendlycompetition with other high school students from abroad. Students will thus develop their ability to make this future global society reality while fostering lifelong friendships. The debate portion of the event will be facilitated by Debate Mate based in the United Kingdom.
During this event, students and participants should understand that they arerepresentatives of their country and school, and that they are expected toactively connect with participants from other schools and countries, as wellas to understand and accept cultural differences so that they can grow theircapacity to make a peaceful world a reality.
The conference will be held online (Zoom). It will not be open to the public.
